An unbelievable antique Victorian turquoise bombé ring. With wide, solid 9 carat gold tapered band and unusual flared shoulders, its high raised silver domed head is set with uncountable graduated turquoises – each hand cut, carved en cabochon and polished before being set into an all-over pave with silver point highlights. The variety of their colour is proof of both their natural origin and their age of around 150 years! It dates from around 1870/80 and is in excellent, fully wearable condition throughout, with a few nicks to a few turquoises here and there. It weighs 14.2 grams really! , measures 20 mm across the head, 10 mm high off the finger and its ring size is just over 6 ¾ US / N UK – not very easily resized. Exquisite and rare Victorian tete-a-tete/ gossip chair/conversation chair. Not sure if its Hunzinger but it is a high quality item. Reupholstered a couple years ago but seldom sat on. Delicate turned spindles back. Some had been broken and repaired with dowels. The piece is delicate given its age but you can sit on it and converse without fear of it breaking. On what is probably original castor wheels. A rare and unique piece. I have used Uship many times so dont let distance discourage you. Up for your consideration is a very fine English papier mache cabinet, with a sewing kit on the top shelf, and a lap desk in the bottom compartment. The piece is of the finest quality, and was made c. It has been completely and expertly re-lined, and is in excellent condition throughout. There is minor crackling and loss to the mother-of-pearl surrounding the decoration on the top of the piece (see the photos), which is generally not very noticeable, and there are some minor restorations which is typical. There is no key. Otherwise, the piece is fully functional, the doors and shelves open and close properly. It appears to have most of its original hand-carved elements. The intricate decorations to the sides are complete and intact. Overall, this is about as nice as you are likely to find. The piece measures 13.5″ wide, 10.5″ tall, and 10 deep. A stunning pair of antique English, solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) and sterling silver pendant drop earrings. Beautifully hand made in two sections, with flower & leaf designs, scrolls and set with eight glistening rose-cut diamonds in raised silver setting with deep scalloped basket backs. Their wires are solid gold and are early replacements, and they will have originally been set with twelve diamonds – some settings are covered over. They date from around 1840 if not earlier and are in excellent, fully wearable condition throughout with only light evidence of wear. They weigh 8.0 grams together and measure 1 ¾ inches total drop. The final photo shows them with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter. A terrific antique early Victorian English, cut steel chatelaine, with ornate decoration, integrated hook and fancy cut steel chains. Exactly as it came in, it hangs a superb Georgian cut steel fob seal to whose base are the initials’CS’, an ornate Victorian orb pomander, vintage metal skull charm and an early Victorian gilt metal fob seal, its base set with a natural carnelian engraved with the initials’WTT’. It’s in good condition, with two chains missing from the chatelaine and light wear to the other fobs/charms. It weighs 62 grams in total and measures 5 ¾ inches long in total, the fobs being 1 ¼ inches tall. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter.
