A lovely quality antique Victorian English, solid 15 carat gold (tests) brooch; beautifully made, with applied neo-Etruscan wirework to the outer bevel and inner gold 3d textured flower design, set with stunning foiled, faceted oval and round natural rock crystals. To the back is a glazed locket compartment, easily accessed for a photo or other slim memento. It dates from around 1870 and is in excellent, fully wearable condition throughout, with one or two minuscule nicks to the stones here & there and a hairline to the gold under the flower design – not readily noticeable. It weighs 10.8 grams and measures 1 ¼ inches diameter. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter. A very good looking well made and highly collectable lamp. Its been lightly restored to include rewiring and new fittings, the timber has all been cleaned waxed and polished. Height:- 142.5cm. This Beautiful Stained Glass window is from an old Victorian home & dates from the late 1800’s This one & the similar ones we have listed, were originaly part of a larger sash window that the frame wasn’t salvageable. The measurements are 16″ x 17.5″ Glass size & 18.75″ x 20.5″ Overall including the frame. The only color apart from the hand painted vines, is amber & a mauve swirly roundel. Most of the glass is light to moderately obscure. The glass is in perfect condition with no cracks or breaks. The original frame could not be saved, so this window has been reframed in a new frame. Displaying a desirable aged patina. Wide fire basket with graphite finish throughout. Cast iron fire dogs sharing the same consistent finish. The fire basket with gently upturned ends, complementing the arched andiron legs. Serpentine reverse bow front a distinctive touch. The rear with a pair of barley twist forms. Lift-out grates to the base, pleasingly heavy. Pair of slender fire dogs topped with large ball heads. Raised on arched legs to front with flat, circular feet. Long rear arm terminates in a square toe. This is a generously sized antique fireplace with large fire basket and a tall, slim pair of fire dogs. Suitable for all fuel types.
