This is a fine quality antique English Victorian solid mahogany window / hall bench, with a fabulous rich colour, circa 1850, in excellent original condition. Item: Window / Hall Seat. Single plank seat (sign of quality). Ring turned tapering legs. Ideal as a window / hall seat / coffee table. Original polish & patination. This is a fine quality antique English Victorian solid mahogany window / hall bench. With a fabulous rich colour, circa 1850, in excellent original condition. This bench boasts a single plank solid mahogany seat, which is a sign of quality. Below the seat, a simple straight frieze to the front and rear is present. The seat is raised on ring-turned tapering legs. The bench has been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The bench would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hallway or porch, or in a bay window. This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. Nominal old use marks to the top of the seat (see photos) and leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are not breaks to the seat, frame or legs. The bench is well constructed, solid in joint (it does not wobble) and is ready to use. Height = 46.7cm or 18 or 1ft 6 Width = 114.4cm or 45 or 3ft 10 Depth = 30.5cm or 12 or 1ft.
