A lovely Victorian Era Locket and Book Chain. This chain and locket are all original and date from 1881. The designer and creator is Wolfsky & Co, of Birmingham, England. This is a fine example of a wonderfully decorated book chain and locket. The chain consists of double sided links with a flat double ball connector between each pierced link. The chain features a large bold clasp that is fitted to the locket and extra links. Please note that the bolt clasp can be completely removed from the locket and supporting links. So, if you wanted to switch out the locket for another pendant or locket of your choosing, it can be done. The locket features an applied 10K yellow and rose gold flowers with hand etching between each flower. The locket is secured with an excellent non-wobbly hinge. Simply snaps shut and stays closed. There are very minor indentations but nothing considered major or an eyesore, simply normal wear. The chain is in as equally good condition. Chain length: 17.5 inches including bolt clasp (but not locket connectors). Locket: 2 Inches x 1.5 inches (extra links add another 1.25 inches). Drop from Bolt Ring: 3 Inches. Maker: Wolfsky & Co.
