An antique English solid 18 carat gold (tests thereabouts) necklace & earrings set, with beautiful ornate repoussé drops set with polished pale green chalcedony cabochons. High quality, deeply beautiful & extremely collectable and immensely wearable – would convert to some fabulous earrrings too! Originally part of a larger piece, converted in antiquity with later lower carat chains (test around 15 carat), bolt ring and earrings wires. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Some backing wear/discolouring under stones (perfectly normal for items of this age). DATE/MARKS : Around 1840’s. DIMENSIONS : Necklace 19 inches long, earring drops 54 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
