An emerald green smile! This seriously beautiful antique English gold crescent brooch dates to 1901. With a stunning single sided colonnaded gallery, its set with incredibly fine green garnet-coloured cut glass gemstones interspersed with twelve little glistening genuine diamond chips. The green is that of dreams, a deep naturalistic moss-grass green that draws the eye. The stones themselves are open-backed and surprisingly clear, allowing for light to flood through from the back, meaning a much better colour in many lights. And although theyre only glass, theyre superbly hand cut just like genuine gems and glisten just like them – at the time they were made they will have been highly prized stones in their own right. It bears a full English hallmark for Chester 1901 with the maker’s mark T&C and is in excellent, fully wearable condition throughout, with no loss or damage. It weighs 2.8 grams and measures 2 inches long. What’s more, I offer layaway deals so there’s no need to let any of my listings slip through your fingers – just ask!
