They all have the same hallmarks except for one fork which was made by the same company one year later in 1853 instead of 1852, and all include Queen Victoria’s head. Full set of British hallmarks with the maker’s mark S. ” for Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater, Queen Victoria’s head, the date letter “R” for 1852 (Except for one for which has an “S for 1853) the leopards head for London assay office and the lion passant for sterling quality silver.
