1890 Atkins Brothers English Victorian Silverplate Grape Stand Repousse Decor.. This is a beautiful late 19th century English victorian period hand-chased and repousse decorated silver-plated grape stand with silver-plated shears. It stands approximately 11″ high x approximately 11″ wide at the widest portion of the scalloped oval bowl. The grape stand is in absolutely beautiful estate condition with NO breaks, NO repairs, NO re-silvering, and NO restorations. It shows only very light signs of wear, commensurate with normal use and age, as shown in the photos. The grape stand shows a beautiful shine with crisp detailed work to the elaborate handle and the repousse and chased decorated portion of the bowl. It retains the original suppressed ball feet and is marked on the underside, as shown in the photos, with the Atkins Brothers maker’s mark. The shears are unmarked and possibly by another maker. The grape shears show a nice shine to the handles with tarnish, wear, and tiny corrosion spots on the cutting blades, as shown in the photos.
