Holy Bible Antique 1874 Victorian Leather Ornate Brass Clasps. Approximately 7.75 tall. This is a genuine antique book, literally a piece of history. If it were sentient, it could tell of over a hundred years full of lives it has touched and hands it has passed through. Every year, more of these irreplaceable treasures are lost– to fires, floods, etc. It is my hope to rescue as many as possible and help them find homes where they will be cherished and passed on to future generations. All of my antique leather books are treated with Cellugel (which is safe for all book materials) to preserve the leather and inhibit deterioration from red rot. The leather has pre-existing scars and wear. The ball on one of the clasps is broken, shown in last photo. Gilt edges have scratches. No writing, tears or odors.
