Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this huge solid English oak. Hand made Library bookcase with base drawers. This is a rare and substantial piece of furniture, it is massive, just under 8 feet tall, its as solid as you could possibly hope to find, luckily it can be dismantled into three pieces for ease of transport. Each side has 5 shelves so 10 in total, they are all removable or height adjustable which is a must for any library. The base drawers are wide and tall so again offer oodles of storage. All the doors slide nicely, they have the original glass which is hand pegged in place, the top of each door has been arched and has some lovely floral carvings, the shelves have the original Victorian leather fringe on the end which is dry and perished in places however it still exists which is rare hence why I have left it in place. We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age-related patina marks all over. There are locks on the side of two of the sliding doors, I dont have keys but may be able to have keys made should the new owner wish, there is of course a cost involved. Of superior proportion, with generous display area and good access. Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Stocks present deep russet hues beneath a wax polish finish. Original glass plate offers a clear, bright appearance. Six glazed doors arranged as four to centre and singles at either end. Original rotating brass handle locks aid access to the interior. Tall ebonised interior divided into two halves. Separate crown moulding and plinth base aids ease of movement. This is a grand antique shop cabinet, with a large display area for taller items. Huge 19th Century English Copper Kettle’5′ Capacity Dovetailed w/ Acorn Finial. This huge mid-19th century English copper and brass kettle with gooseneck spout is dovetailed and has an acorn finial. It measures approximately 16-3/4 long from spout tip to backside of the kettle. It stands approximately 14-3/4 high to the top of the handle. The body of the kettle has a shoulder diameter of approximately 11″ tapering down to a base measuring approximately 8-1/2″. It is in absolutely beautiful estate condition with NO breaks, NO cracks, NO repairs, NO replacements, and NO restorations. It shows only subtle soft dings and uniform heat wear, all shown in the photos. The interior shows sediment from normal use, as shown in the photo. It shows a beautiful polished uniform shine. All components are in solid, original working order. The backside handle is correctly marked with the large’5′ capacity for either liters or quarts. Antique Solid English Brass Corinthian Column Table Lamp, fully rewired. This was an oil lamp made in the late 19th century and has been converted to electricity. The cast iron base makes this item quite heavy which shows its high quality English manufacture. Please note this is not like the cheaper made brass lamps which are sheet brass and formed into shape, this is extremely thick solid cast brass, and has the foundry marks on the cast iron base, these are very high quality and I do not get them often. I have also rewired this fully with braided gold cable, new plug and safety bulbholder and is all earthed. Height- 49cm tall without shade. Width of base- 14.5cm square. 1X B22 bulb required. A very utilitarian piece of furniture, you have two double cupboards and one single, all the shelves are removable and or height adjustable. We have cleaned waxed and polished it, there will be age related patina marks all over, a dark patch at the bottom front and so on, all signs it is a good period piece. The bookcases is two pieces, the top is one section and the base another for ease of transport. Height:- 215cm, top section alone 148cm, base 67cm. Depth:- 30.5cm base, 27cm top. A copper preserves pan made in the mid 19th century with a makers mark showing a plumed horses head, which is a mark that is unknown to me. It is obviously a very fine piece of kitchen equipment that has a weight of just over 8 lbs and is undamaged with a beautiful colour to the old copper. The diameter of the bowl is 15 inches and is 5 inches deep giving it the promise of being able to be used as a fish poacher or very many other purposes as well. It is equipped with massive brass handles that are big enough to take the whole of a hand and are firmly fitted with large copper rivets. Surrounding the rim, the bowl has a thick rolled rim, rolled over an iron hoop for added strength. Its size and quality suggest that it was originally based in a large English country home where the pastry cook would have needed large quantities of fruit for her pies and an equally sized, fired range to rest it. Lovely hand carved Green Man style Edwardian Oak double sided 12 drawer 2 cupboard partner desk. There are around 50-100 high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of. A very rare find, these desks pop up from time to time as single sided desks, Ive never seen a genuine twin pedestal designed for two to use. One side has nine drawers, the other has the three drawers along the top and two large cupboards, this is a three-piece desk so I assume you can flip one pedestal around and have 6 drawers and 1 cupboard each side. The desk is over 100 years old and the timber has a lovely period patina. It is based on early Jacobean 17th century style carvings. The desk has four brass castors in both pedestals, so it is very easy to move around with Hobbs & Co London stamped locks. It is absolute quality and the only one of its type I have ever seen, certainly a custom commission. We have waxed cleaned and polished it from top to bottom, please view the pictures very carefully as they paint an accurate picture of the condition. Height;- 58.5cm. There are around 50-100 high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of this page. This is a rare and substantial piece of furniture, it is massive, just under 8 feet tall, its as solid as you could possibly hope to find, luckily it can be dismantled into three pieces for ease of transport. Each side has 5 shelves so 10 in total, they are all removable or height adjustable which is a must for any library. The base drawers are wide and tall so again offer oodles of storage. All the doors slide nicely, they have the original glass which is hand pegged in place, the top of each door has been arched and has some lovely floral carvings, the shelves have the original Victorian leather fringe on the end which is dry and perished in places however it still exists which is rare hence why I have left it in place. We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age-related patina marks all over. There are locks on the side of two of the sliding doors, I dont have keys but may be able to have keys made should the new owner wish, there is of course a cost involved.
