Fabulous Antique English Victorian Copper & Brass Kettle With Dovetail Joints (Circa 1850 NM). For sale is a fabulous large oval English Victorian copper and brass kettle with beautiful dovetail joints on the backside and base, the interior fully tinned. Kettle measures 11-1/8 inches in height to the topside of the handle, 12-5/8 inches in length, the oval base measuring 7-9/16 inches by 6-3/16 inches, 80 ounces of water just filling it to the topside of the spout base (Note; there is an “8” stamped on the front side of the handle, so I filled it with 8 British 10 ounce cups, although quite a bit more could be easily added). Kettle is in incredible near mint condition without any damage or repairs (Note; there are two tiny, barely noticeable dings on the kettle, and a very slight, barely noticeable bruise on the base rim, with the copper plate used at manufacture showing some pitting on the rear of the kettle, which shows very dark in the photos due to me using white to mask the reflections “see photos”).
