For your consideration here is an incredibly rare matched pair of Victorian Staffordshire English porcelain mantel cats. The cats are hand painted in a Calico pattern and seated on pillows, which are painted pink and green. There are some very old-looking paper labels still attached (see pictures), which are rarely found on these figurines. Cats are approximately 7.125″ tall, and the rectangular bases measure approximately 3.5″ by 3.0. Overall very good to excellent condition. Light crazing (authentic and age-related, NOT simulated) across exterior surfaces, and some minor cracking in the glaze which does not penetrate through to the interior. No chips, scratches, or post-production damage that I can discern. There are some partial and semi-intact original paper labels still attached (see pictures).
