1840 Victorian English Roberts Hall Figural Silverplate Teapot Coffeepot

During this period the company used the initials RH within a rectangle. They became Marti Hall & Company in 1855 and the marks changed to Martin Hall & Company. The teapot is exceptional in style and design and it is in wonderful condition considering that it is about 170 plus years old. The spout features a a bird shaped finial and the spout is in the form of a bearded man. The details are so clear that you can see his beard and mustache. The pot features over sized high relief details of flowers and leaves. It is over sized and holds a liquid capacity of about ounces. Size: The Teapot stands about 12.5 inches tall and measures 10 inches wide measuring across the widest portion. It has a liquid capacity of 116 ounces. Condition: The silver plate is shiny and bright and in good condition as shown in the pictures. There are no monograms or visible repairs. The inside is clean and usable with no pitting. Our items are mostly Victorian and are not new and there may be imperfections due to the age of the item which we try to show in the pictures. The condition of our items are consistent with age. Victorian English Composite Oil/Kerosene Parlor Lamp withAcid-etched Frosted Shade

This is a wonderful Victorian Era, English made kerosene/oil lamp that comes with a pronounced flare of the Iron Base that gives it a triangular profile. The base and stem are made of Iron and the font is Glass, this type of lamp is called a Composite Lamp, it was very popular from the mid 1870’s to the early part of the 20th Century. I found some like this one in a book, said they were from 1905. The Acid Etched Shade is a nice OLD one, it is Gold colored at the top where the ruffles are. It also has a nice slim DUPLEX Chimney, the fitter size is smaller than the Center Draft ones. There are no cracks, chips or flea-bites on the glass parts. The Oil Font is a Light Butterscotch color with painted Gold Flowers and Green Leaves. This is a WORKING OIL/KEROSENE LAMP, it has a good brass English Duplex Burner. The font holds oil; the entire bottom glass piece holds the lamp oil/kerosene. The burner unscrews easily, the wick risers turn and the wicks go up and down easily. The thumbscrews are stamped= MADE IN ENGLAND – JOHN SCOTT. It comes with 2 old cotton wicks in the burner, ready to use. There is a lot of detail in high relief on the Metal Base, it is painted Gold, it matches the Brass color on the Bruner and Shade Ring. The bottom of the base looks like it is marked with = N and a 22. All of the metal parts are in great condition, there is some missing paint on the bottom of the four square feet. I took lots of pictures of this lamp, so you could see what a Beauty She is! We bought this lamp and a few others like it at an estate sale, so we don’t have any background history on it. The Lamp w/chimney measures approx. The Lamp to top of the Shade is approx. The Lamp Base is approx. = 11 to the top of the collar. The Glass Oil Font is approx. = 6 wide, across the widest point. The Shade is approx. = 5″ tall X 7½” wide top opening & a 4 wide bottom fitter. The Chimney is approx. = 10″ tall X with a 2½” bottom fitter. The Metal Figural Base is approx. = 5½” tall X 7″ square bottom. This is an outstanding, one of a kind Victorian lamp! This lamp would be an Excellent addition to any home, Victorian or Modern.
