This lovely piece stands approximately 9″ tall (exclusive of the handle) by 14″ wide by 10 deep and remains in terrific pre-loved condition with authentic wear commensurate with age and use. The box is stamped to the oak base, I can only make out… Perfect for organizing your housekeeping essentials. A beautiful early Victorian solid silver card case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1853 with the makers mark being that of David Pettifer – a very highly regarded card case and snuff box maker of the time. It has been superbly made being engraved with flowers and scrolls around a cartouche engraved HR or HK. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. 3.25 inches (8.1cms) tall by 2 inches (5.1cms) wide and weighs 28 grams. A superbly made very high quality example. A superb antique Victorian English pair of earrings with matching brooch. Beautifully made from solid sterling silver (tests), they have applied beaded and castellated edging, ornate surrounds and are finely engraved with the initials AEI – representing the period sentiment Amity, Eternity, Infinity. They date from around 1870/80 and are in excellent, fully wearable condition throughout, with no loss or damage. Together they weigh 14.3 grams and the brooch measures 40 mm diameter, the earrings 22 mm diameter. The final photo shows them with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter.
